Personal Favorite

A few more favorites from the year.

Back. And for a while.

So. I am just back from a year in Russia. Now that I am no longer jetlagged or overwhelmed by hearing my own language all around me, time to review the year in photos. Here are a couple to get started.

York River afternoon

The York River has become one of my favorite places on earth. I hope you can see why.

Ethan and Emily: a wedding

Ethan and Emily Rodgers were married in Fayetteville, Arkansas in August, 2009. A sunny day, a beautiful couple, what more could a photographer want? I took over 1,000pictures that weekend. Here are a few highlights from the Rodgers' wedding.

Some of my favorite subjects

My brother and sister know that what starts out as a walk will end up as a photo shoot! I never get tired of taking their pictures.

Its all so black and white

My passion for photography began in my freshman year of college, when I took a photography class. College classes concentrated on film photography, and I believe that my experience with film made me what I am today. The smell of darkroom chemistry, the texture and depth of enlarger printing, these things have shaped the way I see what I see throught the lens of my camera, whether film or digital. Here are a few of my black and white portraits from my final year of college.
